Funguys Swarm November 2025 Egglosseum Update

Second major update, first chicken ring

On November 13, 2025 at 9:00 AM PST, Stairway Games shipped Egglosseum: a new arena, a new mouse, a new mutation layer, four pond upgrades, nine shop upgrades, and a price increase from $4.99 to $6.99. It followed October’s Lava Jungle, Mecha, and Weapon Card rework. It preceded the December 2025 Starpath overhaul, January 2026 roster explosion, March 2026 optimization, and the August 25, 2026 1.0 launch.

Funguys Swarm stayed single-player. You still enter the ring alone with WASD or a stick, auto-attack, and a dash, as the controls page describes. Starters remained Shroomba and Ersa. Nutcase joined as the dash specialist, not as a replacement starter.

Nutcase — Nut N Run and Bramble Roots

The November blog interrupts itself: a chaotic mouse crashes the post. Nutcase is dash-powered. More dashes, more speed, more mayhem. Skill 1: Nut N Run. Egglosseum is a circle with nowhere to kite forever. Dash charges are the arena language. Dashspores would arrive in December as the relic that adds two charges and a 25% cooldown tax. In November you just had to spend Space.

You are trapped in a ring surrounded by chickens. Chicktizens watch, then hop in. Hazard copy from Stairway: can you kill something that cute. Enemies called out in the blog: Rooster (Legion of Peck) and Triplets (feathered phalanx). Later bestiary language adds Eggy and related egg units. The arena boss in 1.0 routing is Chicken Caesar.

Compared with Carrot Farm’s open dirt and Lava Jungle’s lava puddles, Egglosseum is geometry. Arena walkthrough routing still applies: fill the timer, fight the boss, unlock the next ring (Hellscape would wait until 1.0).

Debuff Mutation

Debuff Mutation is a passive that enhances a specific status — Shock, Mark, and others — once conditions are met. Example from the blog: inflict Shock, then a Shock Critical Discharge style card can appear. Pancake Slam is the flatten joke. The dedicated debuffs page maps Freeze (5s, bosses immune), Marked (1.4x, bosses not immune), Burn, Poison, Flat, and Starlight onto this system.

Sanctuary Ponds and Shroom Shop

Four new global pond upgrades:

• PowerUp Drop Chance
• XP Gain from XP Beans
• Rare Weapon Upgrade Chance
• Epic Weapon Upgrade Chance

Nine shop upgrades:

• Treeling Slot 2 and Slot 3 (bring extra Treelings)
• Treeling XP Gain
• Life Companion (pet attack cooldown and movement speed +50%)
• Stay Close Buddy (+10% damage near your pet)
• Full Revive (revive restores full HP)
• Re-Roll Pack, Banish Pack, Lock Pack (three tokens each)

Pets and Treelings became a three-slot story because of those shop lines. March later reworked Protectron and Bounty; November is when the extra slots existed to hold them.

Weapon Cards from October still rolled every 3 levels with mutations every 12. Pond Rare/Epic chances are how you bias that table before Commoncap existed.

Price, roadmap, and what came next

$4.99 to $6.99 funded more arenas and the January roster. Stairway’s November roadmap already named improved progression (that became Starpath), more arenas, and extra surprises. 1.0 later listed $9.99, 20% off through September 8, 2026, soundtrack DLC at $1.99, 112 Steam achievements, and 974-plus Very Positive reviews. Those are later facts. November’s fact is the two-dollar bump on the same morning as the chickens.

No cross-platform saves then or now. Steam Deck Verified would still matter, but Egglosseum’s ring is a CPU test — March’s swarm work is the patch that made the chickens fair on handheld.

Then go smash three-hit pots that March returned, because November’s chickens never waited for breakables to come back.
